Oh the places you'll go..

These past 26 days (I can't believe it's been that long since I last posted) have been crazy busy!

Let's recap:
The last time I posted was October 4th, I finished my first 8-week class session through Columbia College on the 6th.

On the 8th, I started a new job. I am working for an HVAC (Heating and Cooling) company that's about 10 minutes away from our house. I started there with the intention of taking over his bookkeeping needs but started with the daily tasks of answering the phone (if it rings), mailing invoices, and taking payments.
This past Thursday I decided that I would mention to my boss that I was looking into starting my own bookkeeping business. He had a friend that also wanted me to do his bookkeeping as well which is why I thought I would pursue my dream of starting my own business now. Thursday night, completely last minute, I took a trip back home. All day Friday my grandma and I went around gathering tools I would need to start up this business including a computer, external hard drive, and QuickBooks. For those of you that are familiar with these things, starting a business isn't cheap. It takes a lot of risk and a big chunk of investment to begin and grow.
So far everything is pretty well going as planned. I am hoping it will grow into something I can do full-time.
One thing that I am very excited about with this is that I get to work from home. How great does that sound?!

Other things that have happened, my baby brother is getting too big! He is talking like crazy, running around, and becoming a little boy. He is no longer my little baby brother. It's so sad but so exciting at the same time. This picture was taken when I was abundantly filled with joy because my parents and my baby brother came and surprised me at home! My mom calls me as she's sitting in my driveway and says, "That bag on your front porch looks tacky" Not even thinking, I thought she was talking to someone else and ignored it. She goes on to say, "and that target, you need to clean that up". I immediately said "Where are you?!". I walked out the door and there they were. We met up with Mr. Bell, who was sitting in the woods when all of this was happening, and went out to eat Mexican. (If you read my post before, you're noticing Mexican is a family favorite). Oh and let's just say I did a little work outside the next day after they left. :)

 

 

 

Playing hide'n'seek

Mr. Bell and I have also been looking for a home to buy but none of them we have looked at have really felt right. One night after looking at two houses (we were sure one of them was the one) we were headed to bed. Mr. Bell looked at me and said, "Now don't get upset but I think we really need to take a break from looking at houses." I just started giggling a little bit. He asked what I was laughing about and I said, "I'm so glad you said that. I have felt terrible every time we go to look at a house. It just doesn't feel right." He said, "Well, I feel a lot better about it now. I feel like a weight was just lifted off my shoulders." I said, "I feel the exact same way." That being said, we took a break with the whole house thing and we both feel much better.



This weekend I am going to Women of Faith for the first time and am so excited. I've heard it's like the Revolve tour but for grown ups. I am going with my mother-in-law and it should be some great bonding time for us. It is also including some shopping, of course.

 

That's a pretty good recap of what's been going on. I know I missed some things but you get the point. You never know where the Lord will take you and He has taken me on a crazy ride these past three weeks. Mr. Bell and I are trusting Him to lead us where we need to be and we believe this is it for this moment in time. You never know the places you'll go...
